On June 16, sponsored by Shandong Cross-border E-commerce Association and co-organized by provincial and municipal e-commerce associations, the 1st China (Shandong) Cross-border E-commerce Trade Expo was successfully opened in Jinan Shungeng International Convention and Expo Center. Zeng Zanrong, member of the Standing Committee of Shandong provincial Party committee and Executive Vice Governor of Shandong Province, attended the event. The China-Europe Railway Express (Qilu) and Qilu • Global Purchasing under Shandong Hi-Speed Group appeared at the expo and won the honorary title of cross border e-commerce quality service provider of the 1st China (Shandong) Cross-border E-commerce Trade Expo.

Zeng Zanrong, along with the delegation, visited the expo hall of Shandong Hi-Speed Group, and Zhang Yangjin reported on the operation of China-Europe Railway Express (Qilu) and Qilu • Global Purchasing on behalf of Shandong Hi-Speed Group, focusing on building an international logistics channel, a supply chain financial service platform and an import expo and trading platform, and taking multiple measures to promote the development of cross-border e-commerce.

Over the past three years of overall operation of opening up a new channel for cross-border e-commerce foreign trade, more than 5000 “Qilu” trains had been operated in total, with more than 1000 trains each year for three consecutive years, and 52 international operation routes, reaching 54 cities in 23 countries along “the Belt and Road”. The continuous and stable operation of the China-Europe Railway Express (Qilu) built an efficient and fast international logistics channel for cross-border e-commerce in our province. The regular operation of special trains such as centralized assembly and transportation, cross-border e-commerce and cold chain further unblocked the import and export channels of cross-border e-commerce.

In terms of innovative cross-border e-commerce services, the “high-speed e-finance” supply chain financial service platform made a total loan of RMB 260 million as pure credit loan services for small, medium-sized and micro foreign trade enterprises, which could effectively meet the needs of cross-border e-commerce for the supply chain financing in our province; the planned train assembly centers in Jinan and Qingdao to integrate supply chain finance, cross-border e-commerce and bonded logistics will provide the cross-border e-commerce enterprises in the province with full- chain, full-process, all-round train transportation and “train +” extended comprehensive services when they are completed and put into operation.

In terms of promoting cross-border e-commerce import, Qilu • Global Purchasing brought to the expo more than 20 kinds of high-quality imported goods such as wine and beer, which were directly purchased overseas as first-hand sources. Relying on the display and sales of high-speed service area in the province, it provided a more direct and stable purchase channel and trading platform for cross-border e-commerce import in the province. The platform had opened up the import channels of high-quality goods from Portugal, France and Italy, covering more than 500 imported products in six categories of wine, beer, cooking utensils, knives, water drinks and snacks, and obtained the domestic exclusive agency rights for 20 products of two brands, namely, Pacheca wine from Portugal Guoli Winery and Italian Anjili kitchen utensils, the exclusive general agent of 15 products of two brands in Shandong region, namely, German Denninghoff’s beer and Portugal SILAMPOS kitchen utensils, and the special distributor in China of one of the two major beef factories exported to China in Russia (Factory 36).

The Expo lasted for three days. Dozens of cross-border e-commerce enterprises expressed great interest in the international logistics and transportation of China – Europe Railway Express (Qilu), supply chain finance, Qilu • Global Purchasing, and consulted and discussed for cooperation.

Next, Shandong Hi-Speed Group would take the Expo as an opportunity to give full play to the advantages of the China-Europe Railway Express (Qilu) platform, continuing to promote the construction of international logistics channels, actively promoting the development of new models and new forms of cross-border e-commerce, promoting the export of “made in Shandong” and the import of foreign high-quality goods, and making contributions to the high-quality development of export-oriented economy in Shandong Province.
